EXTENT
Summit of Haleakala volcano on Maui. This is where you start the descent from 10,000+ feet to sea level. Options include the cruiser route back down the paved road, or the unpaved route down the southwest ridge.
Massey Gap. This is the backpacker parking lot at Grayson Highlands State Park.
This is a convenient spot for biking into the Lewis Fork Wilderness just north of Grayson Highlands. Truth be told, I haven't actually biked here yet, but it's on my list.

Whitetop. This is the upper end of the VA Creeper Rail Trail. The lower end is in Abingdon, VA.
